What Do I Do?
My job description is diverse and has tasks added to it whenever a need arises. My primary role is to take care of accounts payable/receivable. I also wear a Human Resources hat, managing our benefits, administering payroll, and maintaining employee files. Finally, I am the resident "Ergonomic Specialist." My background is in Occupational Therapy and one of my favorite roles at Ghost is making sure everyone's work station is set up to fit them.
What's The Coolest Thing About Ghost?
I think the coolest thing about Ghost is the people who work here and the talents they possess. They are truly a team and they each bring unique qualities to the table to create such stunning work. It is a process I cannot wrap my brain around and after 7 years in my position, I still don't fully understand how they do what they do, but it is truly amazing to see them collaborate over the course of a project.
What Do I Do When I'm Not Working?
I have a great family to spend time with when I am not at work. My husband and I have two kids who are old enough to do fun things like go to the movies, go skiing, or ride a roller coaster, but young enough to still believe we are good company. I am not sure how much longer they will feel that way, but I have lots of hobbies waiting as a back up plan for the days when I am simply their cook and driver. While I don't fully understand the creative skills of the Ghost team, I do have many creative interests myself. I love scrapbooking and have recently started learning how to use Adobe Photoshop Elements for digital scrapbooking. I am also interested in photography, mosaics and crochet. In the summer, you can find me gardening. I am slowly but surely ridding my yard of buckthorn and replacing it with pretty flower gardens. I have years of work ahead of me to finish that project!
My link to Ghost Productions goes back as far as Ghost itself does. I have known Stephan and Nic since the beginning and before I worked for them, I was a strong supporter of the vision they had for Ghost Productions, Inc. Becoming part of the team just happened. The team had a need that I could fill with the skills I possess so I jumped at the chance to assist them in achieving their mission. Over the years, I have been able to do that in a variety of ways, from making sure the books are balanced to making sure we have coffee for the team in the cupboard. I also get to plan the fun things like our annual Holiday Party. My contribution doesn't help make the beautiful scenes you are watching, but it is important to the mission and I am happy that I get to be a part of it!
